Welcome to ApproachMe. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility and Account Registration
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age to use ApproachMe.
- Authentication: Access requires valid authentication via Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In.
- Profile Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate information regarding your age, gender, and orientation.
- Online Status: A profile photo is required to set your status to "online" or "visible".
- One Account: Users are permitted only one account; account sharing is strictly prohibited.
2. Description of Service
ApproachMe is a location-based social connection platform designed to facilitate real-time interactions. Key features include:
- Bubble System: Location-based visibility.
- Wave Feature: A tool to initiate contact with nearby users.
- Messaging: Communication between matched users.
- AM Token System: Virtual currency used for visibility features.

3. User Conduct and Safety
To maintain a safe environment, you agree not to engage in:
- Harassment: Bullying, threatening behavior, or stalking.
- Inappropriate Content: Sharing explicit, offensive, or illegal material.
- Deception: Impersonation, creating fake accounts, or manipulating location data.
- Commercial Activity: Spamming or solicitation.
toll 4. AM Tokens and In-App Purchases
- Virtual Currency: AM Tokens are virtual assets with no cash value.
- Refunds: All purchases are final and non-refundable, subject to Apple and Google's respective policies.
- Transfers: Initial tokens and referral bonuses are non-transferable. Only purchased tokens may be transferred to another active user upon account deletion.
5. Reporting and Moderation
We utilize an Account Status system to ensure community safety:
- Excellent/Good: 0–4 reports.
- Needs Work/Under Review: 5–10 reports.
- Disabled: 11+ reports. Users with "Disabled" status cannot go online, send waves, or message.
Finality: Moderation decisions are final.
6. Location Services
- Opt-In: Location sharing is strictly opt-in and occurs only when you are visible online.
- Approximation: We use approximate location only; exact coordinates are never shared with other users.
7. Account Deletion and Data
- Irreversibility: Deleting your account is permanent and results in the loss of all data and non-purchased tokens.
- Token Transfer: You may choose to transfer remaining purchased tokens to an active friend's account during the deletion process. If the recipient declines, the tokens are permanently destroyed.
8. Disclaimers and Liability
- "As-Is" Service: ApproachMe is provided without guarantees of availability or specific outcomes (e.g., matches).
- Offline Interactions: You are solely responsible for your safety during in-person meetings. ApproachMe is not liable for user interactions or third-party actions.
